A member benefit through your industry association, delivered by Pulse
Every owner wonders. Members can now see it: payment speed, the cash gap you fund, your customer spread and how your year is tracking, side by side with landscapers your size. Free, confidential, and your name is never attached.
Runs on Xero for now; the connection is read-only, nothing in your file can be changed, and it takes under a minute.

Connect Xero in under a minute, read-only. You sign in on Xero's own page, so we never see your password. No bank logins, and nothing in your file can be changed.
Your first report arrives within seven days, through a private link only you hold. Bookmark it and your latest report is always there.
Your association never sees any member's numbers - only anonymous industry trends, and it is never told who took part.
Peer comparisons only appear once at least five businesses are in a group, so no one can be picked out.

Plain English, supportive, and private to you. The figures below are illustrative: they show what a member sees twelve months in, with a full group taking part. Early joiners see their own numbers first, and the peer comparisons switch on once five businesses are in your group.
Customer payment benchmark
Example figures: what a report looks like twelve months in, with 60 businesses taking part
You are running a well-paid business.
You get paid faster than about 7 in 10 landscapers your size, you carry less overdue money than most, and the one thing worth watching is how much of your work sits with a few clients.
Getting paid
38 days

Cash gap

Your cash gap. You get paid in about 38 days but pay your suppliers in about 30, so you bridge roughly $24,000 of that difference yourself on a typical day. A year ago the gap was 16 days, about twice the money.
Customer DSO trend
You get paid in 38 days, faster than about 7 in 10 similar businesses. The typical business waits 46 days.
The shaded band is your own usual range, learned from your history: 35 to 44 days. Your latest full month came in at 38 days, within that range. About $115,000 of your invoicing is open and waiting to be paid.
Revenue by month
Your invoicing month by month, with your busy season visible.
Concentration trend
How much of your revenue sits with your top 1, 5 and 10 clients.
Your top client represents about 18% of your last twelve months' invoicing, roughly nine weeks of your year's work, and the share has crept up over the year. Landscapers with a wider spread of clients tend to see steadier cash flow. It is the kind of thing worth a chat with your accountant or bookkeeper.
Figures shown in this example are illustrative. Your real report is built from your own figures and an anonymous comparison to other landscapers. It is general information only, not financial, tax, or business advice. For decisions about your business, speak to your accountant or a licensed adviser.
Your report today is just the start. These build on their own as your history grows, no extra effort needed.
Your peak and quiet months against the typical pattern for landscapers like you, so you can tell "normal for the season" from "something changed".
Unlocks with a full season and a live peer groupEach month against the same month a year earlier, so you can see whether you are ahead of where you were.
Builds through your second yearYes. It is a member benefit while the pilot runs.
It is an open pilot, free to take part. We will always give at least 30 days' notice before anything changes.
Connecting takes under a minute and your first report is ready within seven days. It starts with your own twelve-month picture: payment speed, cash gap, customer spread, your overdue book and what you owe in tax and super, drawn from your Xero history. Peer comparisons switch on once at least five businesses are in your group.
Through a private link, created just for you when you connect. Bookmark it and your latest report is there whenever you want it. For security each link lasts about three months; when one expires, signing in with Xero again issues a fresh link on the spot. The benchmark does not require your name, email or phone number; your figures sit under a random code that only your link unlocks. If you choose, you can leave an email at the end of sign-up and we will send your link plus a short monthly reminder when your report updates. It is stored encrypted, separately from your figures, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
Nothing is lost. Come back to this page and connect again, and you will get a fresh private link on the spot. You sign in on Xero's own page, exactly as you normally would; we never see your password. Because Xero confirms it is you, there is no separate password to remember, and your figures and history are untouched.
No. They never see any individual member's figures, only anonymous insights across everyone taking part.
Pulse Signal Pty Ltd (ABN 20 697 556 531) is the Australian analytics company that built the benchmark and brought it to your association as a member benefit. Pulse processes the figures and never publishes anything that identifies you.
Your Xero accounting data, read-only. We cannot log in to your bank, move money, or change anything in your file.
Right now the pilot runs on Xero only. If you use MYOB or QuickBooks Online, register your interest and we will let you know if support for your software is added. It also helps us decide which platform to add next.
Comparisons are only shown once at least five businesses are in a group. That is a privacy rule, not a limitation: it means no one can ever be picked out of a small group. Early joiners see their own twelve-month picture straight away and are the reason the comparisons switch on for everyone.
Read-only accounting records: invoices and bills, payments, credit notes, manual journals, bank account transactions, contacts, your chart of accounts and organisation settings, balance sheet and BAS reports. Pulse never pulls profit-and-loss reports; that is a standing policy, not a technical accident. It cannot log in to your bank, move money, or change anything in your file.
Anytime. Disconnect in your Xero settings and the connection ends; we stop accessing your data. Anonymous group figures your data already contributed to stay anonymous - they never identified you and cannot be unpooled.
How fast you get paid, the gap you fund from your own pocket, your customer spread: measured, compared with landscapers like you, and shown only to you.
